Fires Shotgun with Stick to end his life

Isaac Sinclair, Bedford Township, is found dead.
Pomeroy, July 2 - (staff special) - With face badly mutilated from gun shot wounds, the body of Isaac Elwood Sinclair, 52, farmer, was discovered at his home near Flora, Bedford Township, late Wednesday.  Before ending his life with a shotgun, Sinclair fastened a note outside of the main entrance door of his home which read, " You will find my dead body inside," Coroner B.H. Ewing learned in investigation.
Sinclair was last seen alive Tuesday morning, when he conversed with his brother, Charles Sinclair.  He is believed to have been dead a day before his body was found.  One hand clutched a stick which he used in pressing the gun trigger.
Two years ago Sinclair suffered a severe stroke of paralysis and since had been in ill health.  His farm consisted of 25 acres.  After being separated from his wife, he lived alone.  The body was removed to Coolville by Undertaker White, where funeral arrangements are being completed.

Mrs. Nettie Sloan, 48, Disappears After a long Illness
Pomeroy, Sept 15..(staff special) Search for Mrs. Nettie Sloan, 48, of Pratts Fork, who diappeared from the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Buchannon, Willys Hill, is being conducted today by officers and relatives. It is feared that Mrs. Sloan's mind has been clouded by a long illness and that she may have taken her life.
Mrs. Sloan came Wednesday to visit her daughter, Mrs. Buchannon. She had been ill for several months. Yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock the daughter went to another room to attend her child. When she returned, Mrs. Sloan had disappeared, taking a suitcase and clothing with her.
A search lasting all night and today failed to reveal her whereabouts. A telephone call to Pratts Fork was made, but no trace of Mrs. Sloan had been found there.
Mrs. Sloan was carring a suitcase and a black coat with a fur collar. She is of slender build, and has bobbed hair sprinkled with gray. She has friends in Athens, and may have gone there.
