      IN MEMORIAM -
In the springtime when all nature seems to be awakening from its long winter's sleep, the unwelcome visitor, Death, visited us and has taken away a loveable one who had enjoyed a long useful life of 72 years, 5 months, and 18 days.
Charlie Grim, son of George W. and Elizabeth Grim, was born January 25, 1856 and departed this life June 7, 1928.
He was married to Margaret Elizabeth Sloan April 27, 1875.  He leaves to mourn their loss his widow, four children, Mrs. S. K. Burzon and Mrs. E. A. Guthrie of Athens, Atwood and George Grim, Shade, ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Jacob King, of Pratts fork; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He spent his entire life in Lodi township, and up until his recent illness was one of the most active of his community; always interested in the welfare of friends and neighbors; taking an active part in any question pertaining to the betterment of the social, political, or the economic life of his home, his community, and his country.  he was noted for his fairness in all dealings with his fellow men.  He was an active member of Lodi Township grange No. 2430.
He was a kind and loving companion and father, a generous neighbor, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Father dear, thou hast left us,
And our loss we deeply feel.
But, 'tis God who hath bereft us,
He can all our sorrows heal.

CARD OF THANKS - We wish to thank our many friends and neighbors for their kindness during the illness and after the death of our husband and father, Charles Grim.  Especially do we thank our minister, the Rev. M. E. Chatley, Funeral Director Mr. Walburn, and Fred Lee Tom for their service.  Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Grim and children.
